It does suck. How long have you been trying to lose? Did you take a Before pic? Do it now if not. That can really help show changes even when we can’t see or feel them.
OP here. My latest kick is just since New Year's. Only a couple of weeks. But I have been trying at various levels of intensity to move my baby/pandemic weight for about a year. Before pic is a good idea!
But if you’ve already lost a few pounds, then that’s great. 1-2 pounds per weeks is the most you should lose anyway. And if you weren’t consistent in the last year, results will have been spotty at best. I’ve been at it extremely consistently for 8 months and I’ve lost about 6 lbs a month on average. And that’s counting every calorie I put in my mouth, upping my exercise continuously as it gets harder and harder to budge the pounds the more I’ve lost, drinking a ton of water, hanging out calorie laden foods for more filling less calorie dense foods, basically an overhaul of my life. It’s not eacsy.
Whats the best? Eggs, avocado, nuts? What else?
I mean, I don’t like avocados or nuts. I do eat a lot of eggs, generally scrambled up and tossed with whatever vegetables i have that sound good- spinach, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc. I also eat big mixed green salads topped with chopped up grilled chicken breast, chopped up apples or raspberries and drizzled with just a touch of balsamic vinegar. Where salads become problematic is all the dressing, cheese, and other things people put in them. And I really do count every single berry as I put it on and log it in my app. Mostly people are just eating more than they think which is why the weight won’t budge. I measure things and weigh things on a kitchen scale. Now it’s a lot easier for me to eyeball things so that I can make an educated guess of what I’ve eaten when at a party or dinner out so I can enter it later.
Thanks.
