The Idea of You by Robinne Lee
I went to law school with her! I feel like TIOU isn't quite what OP is looking for because it's about a relationship that clearly can't work past its hot initial sexual chemistry - not about falling in love with hope. Which I think is more what OP is looking for. It's funny - most of the falling in love books I've read are either about doomed love, or about enemies to lovers - but very few that I can think of really capture that initial feeling where you feel like you've entered another dimension with someone.
So you basically don't have a recommendation.
Don't be rude, I was enjoying eavesdropping on their banter Like another poster, I was going to recommend Emily Henry for something light and fast read. For medical people, have you read "cutting for stone"? It's definitely not strictly a romance, but there are some deep love stories in it, both young and older peoples ' stories of falling in love. It's a longer slower read than Emily Henry but more satisfying IMO.
