Ha my same thought reading everyone else’s responses. We definitely go overboard and every year and we always say, next year we will scale back.

We do all gifts from Santa on Christmas morning. Usually it’s one big thing for each girl (2 and 6) and a bunch of smaller toys. Probably 10 Santa gifts each plus stockings. We don’t do ‘needs’ like clothes from Santa; that is stuff I buy as they need it throughout the year. Santa gifts are things the girls actually want, toys and fun things.

On Christmas Eve we get together with family and the girls open up gifts from the grandparents and other family. They are completely spoiled on Christmas each year but Im okay with it because it’s the only time of year they are and we balance the gift giving with more meaningful experiences during the holidays as well.[/quote]
