Subject: How many gifts normally a kid get from parents & santa?
We do 1 "bigger" thing from Santa and 1 from us. Then all the little stuff gets split up between us and Santa. A few things in the stocking, a book or 2, some replacement art supplies (this year it's colored pencils).
In total each of my kids is getting 8 gifts, ranging from a few dollars in price in price to about $50 as the max. The max can be higher, if there is something special they want. Last year it was $100 because we got them nice scooters.

Ha my same thought reading everyone else’s responses. We definitely go overboard and every year and we always say, next year we will scale back.
We do all gifts from Santa on Christmas morning. Usually it’s one big thing for each girl (2 and 6) and a bunch of smaller toys. Probably 10 Santa gifts each plus stockings. We don’t do ‘needs’ like clothes from Santa; that is stuff I buy as they need it throughout the year. Santa gifts are things the girls actually want, toys and fun things.
On Christmas Eve we get together with family and the girls open up gifts from the grandparents and other family. They are completely spoiled on Christmas each year but Im okay with it because it’s the only time of year they are and we balance the gift giving with more meaningful experiences during the holidays as well.

We strictly do wrapped gifts and I give my kids an equal number, plus a good stocking. I don’t think a 3 yo will notice though. If your 7 year old is a girl, she will 😂
Yeah, everyone does it differently. In our family, Santa brings one (big) gift -- unwrapped. We don't necessarily give an equal number -- older kids might get fewer but "bigger" or more expensive gifts, which they tend to understand.
