No, it is not. You are supposed to get out of the intersection as "quickly and safely as possible" <-- that's the law accroding to MD driving manual. If not why noit just go green then red? The yellow is there to give people a chance to clear the intersection without slamming on their brakes and causing an accident.  [/quote]

In DC it's illegal to enter the intersection once a light turns yellow. And the MD says get [b]out[/b] of the intersection, implying you can't enter it either once the light turns yellow.
