I don't see how posting here is an overreaction. I wasn't even there and I'm cringing at the thought of what she saw.
Don't you all have kids? Don't you drive River Road?

She appears to have been annoyed by a car that was stalled, and so leaned on her horn, and sped up, running a red light by Primary Day. Sheesh. Ease up lady! This is a downside of advertising your kid's school on the back of the car.
Right now I'm trying to decide which is worse: That she did this, or that you rushed home and recounted the incident in such particular detail here.

The yellow is there so people won't slam on their brakes as soon as the light change and to allow people to clear the intersection safely. What to people in DC do? Slam on the brakes as soon as they see a yellow light.
OP here. It was red before she entered the intersection. Couldn't believe it.
Actually, you're supposed to stop when a light turns yellow. That's the law.
No, it is not. You are supposed to get out of the intersection as "quickly and safely as possible" <-- that's the law accroding to MD driving manual. If not why noit just go green then red? The yellow is there to give people a chance to clear the intersection without slamming on their brakes and causing an accident.
