So a FBI agent shoots someone (again) and PP can’t back up the feels which lead to the bare assertion that it’s “obviously getting less safe”?
Seems like you’re far more likely to get shot by an FBI agent on metro than by anyone else. Criminals included.
I have no complaints about criminals getting shot.
Police officers are not courts of law. They don’t get to apply the death penalty just because they got into an altercation with someone else. Actually, no one should be able to do that.
Police officers are allowed to defend themselves when violently assaulted. Actually, everyone should be allowed to do that.
Police are taught to reflexively respond that they resorted to deadly force because they feared for their lives. It would be a joke but for the fact that the government sanctions murder in this way.
+1 They’re allowed to kill you because *they were afraid of you*. Think about that for a few minutes. What would happen to an ordinary person who tried to use that as an excuse? Not someone who was actually assault and was defending themselves, not someone finding an intruder in their home. Not someone being carjacked….. just someone who saw someone and was in fear of them. WTAF.
This is very oversimplified and in fact inaccurate. In order to evade a murder charge, a LEO would have to prove to a jury that there was reason for fear. A thug coming at him or her with a knife or gun, for example, is completely a justifiable target.
