I don’t think so, the points have to be accumulated in the current season. This rule is more for the kid who turns 11 say in December, but in October and November had completed all the IMX events with enough points to qualify for the 9-10 group. That kid is allowed to compete in the 11-12 IMX event based on their accumulated 9-10 points.[/quote]

I would ask your coach.  It feels like a lot of misinformation on this thread.  For example, I think points readjust by age.  The same swim will score differently at age 11, I think than age 12.  But I am not positive. [/quote]
