Same here. DD got in RD with 3.9 UW, 1510, lots of longtime EC's with HS Leaderships and was able to tigh wildly different school EC's together in a non-school EC project.

Good friend with lower stats 3.8UW, TO, 4 AP's got in RD too. Both though showed thorough interest, attending lots of online info sessions in addition to the in person campus visit.

Good that they got in, but those stats (besides the 1510 SAT) are below the average for W&M so the odds were likely against them and no one should think they will have similar success unless URM, first generation, etc.  Also, how long ago was this?  [/quote]

Thank you, you are correct. I just never post a weighted gpa because it varies so wildly. Both had done APs in all 5 core classes, just not all in the same year (9, 10,11) and some were special classes like analytical chem, post AP kind of.  But most just want to those hard numbers.

Giving only UW GPA isn't helpful either as it says nothing about class rigor, etc. Plus, the GPA averages provided by W&M are weighted. [/quote]
