Basically, MCPS procedure is to have a meeting and file a report in accordance with a process. Nothing that actually keeps kids safer.
DCUM gonna DCUM. Maybe they were working on keeping kids safer and never got around to having a meeting and filing a report.
dp.. oh please. They didn't follow procedures twice now.
Clarksburg + Blair + Magruder = 3 times MCPS didn’t follow the law. Clark’s burg and Blair happened before Magruder. Perhaps things could have been learned with Clarksburg and Blair to improve safety before the Magruder incident happened. MCPS has Central Office employees who should be on top of the reporting requirements as part of their jobs.
Let’s not forget the Damascus rape case where admin basically tried to just pretend nothing had happened. This is a pattern in MCPS. We see it over and over.
+1 Loudon County had a grand jury investigation that uncovered a whole host of problems. Montgomery County needs to do the same.
As soon as I heard about the LCPS Superintendent getting fired I wondered about when, not if, this will happen to McKnight.
The BOE that just gave her the permanent job is going to turn around and fire her?
