When you quit smoking, you suddenly see beautiful and cool people smoking everywhere you go. 10+ years after quitting, it’s like thinking fondly of an old boyfriend. I don’t want to see or talk to him now just like I don’t want to ever smoke again - but sometimes I’ll feel wistful? Sentimental? Like “we had some good times and that feels like a lifetime ago”.
