I agree you should seek full legal custody while dad is out of the picture. It may be harder later if he changes his mind. You have full physical custody so you will likely get full legal custody. This is important not just for travel but decisions about medical treatment.  Unless for emergency treatment, you may be asked to have the permission of other parent. This goes for psychological testing for school purposes. Keep your appt with lawyer but consult re legal custody. [/quote]
