It is a math competition test.  I believe AMC stands for American Math Competition[/quote]

My kid was not offered this at our MCPS middle school and has always been in enriched math.  (Geometry in 8th grade)

This is true. They don't promote this even for schools that offer it. MCPS doesn't want increase the math gap or maybe increasing stress.
But Montgomery College always offers it.. you just need to look.[/quote]
