Her child's father is being difficult - he is not forbidden her to travel with the child, just being difficult for the sake of it. He moved across the country and has little contact with the child - there is not custody agreement in place, so this definitely belongs in the courts. OP has to get the custody thing straighted out to begin with, and while at it, ask the judge for the travel authorization. I hope she gets full custody so she doesn't have to deal with this crap for the next 18 years.[/quote]
