Is she a good teacher? Sounds like she’s not or you wouldn’t even have thought to look this up. Focus on any real issues you have with her performance. There are no “extra” teachers around right now. So, deal with what you have or create a problem where you might end up with a stream of long term subs or worse. She isnt even lying about anything that is required for her job and if she is lying, she didn’t do it where it counted, on her certification paperwork.
NO -- she was horrible. You are totally right -- if she was great, I'd probably not think about it, well at least not as much!? My kids aren't even in that school anymore -- thank goodness - b/c when we did say something to the Principal last December about things our child was coming home telling us about this teacher, the Principal said -- well, we have a saying here, we'll only believe half of what your child tells us is happening at home, and you should only believe half of what your child is telling you happens at school... The assistant Principal saw an ongoing "lesson" she was doing with the kids soon after (it was NOT something we ever brought up -- just discovered it as she was doing extra due diligence on the teacher) and shut that down -- but then the assistant Principal left for another school and so the teacher remained unchecked the rest of the year really.
Are your kids accurate reporters 100% or the time? So if you pissed them off and they mumbled you never do anything for me, you love sister more, etc…all accurate, right. My teen will sometimes say at a restaurant when my husband orders a drink, “God, dad, you drink a lot!” I drink zero. My husband may have a beer 3 nights a week. You’ve talked to a therapist about something from a school your kids no longer attend? Please move on. The only way this is really, really important is if a non MD is teaching residents, and even then many nurses and techs have a lot of info. Let’s say you reported it. What do you think should happen? Can’t use the term anymore? Reprimand in the file? Fired? What would satisfy you?
