Okay, seriously?  My kid is on the Whitman bus every day too but that does not make me a good or bad parent.  Who is parking in the BCC parking lot if not students.  Every MC high school seems to have a large parking lot with student parking.  It is not a crime for licensed kid to drive to school.  And some kids need to drive to after school jobs or internships so there are legitimate reasons why a kid may need to drive to school.  Yes it's a little odd that the OPs daughter doesn't know the parking rules or can't ask one of her driving friends, but that does not make the OP a bad parent.[/quote]

Blair parent here.  I would be harshly critical no matter where OP lived, assuming that the school bus or other bus alternative(s) existed.  I think it is horrific that thousands of high school students forego the bus, and clog area roads daily with unnecessary cars (driven by inexperienced drivers) because it is not "cool" to take the bus.  I hate the patterns it sets for our children's generation and I hate the mentality that accompanies such a choice.[/quote]
