Historically, roads were not built for driving. Bikes and pedestrians were using roads way before cars appeared. In reality, roads were multi-use for a very long time. Drives me nuts driving up Dorset so I avoid it, which is the point.  It’s a residential road that doesn’t need cars cutting through to Wisconsin. [/quote]

Don't give a crap about what happened when we got around by horse and buggy. We're talking about 2022. For my entire lifetime, roads have been for driving. Dorset goes from Little Falls to Wisconsin. Can you suggest another road that does that? I'm sorry the wealthy people who live in Somerset would rather have the road all to themselves, but my taxes paid for it and I want to use it TO DRIVE ON. Since that is indeed what roads are made for, in 2022.

I can't tell you how many times every single day I see pedestrians walking into the street staring straight down at their phones, or with their backs to oncoming traffic, like idiots. Well, you may notice that a lot of people walk and bike on roads. Guess what, we all pay taxes  and some of us are polluting the air to get around and are not operating a 2 tone vehicle with the anger you are exhibiting in this forum.[/quote]
