The fancy stuff just sits there until people get desperate.  But I'm talking about the bake sales that are aimed at kids (like the bake sale that is running during the school book sale, or during the outdoor movie night) -- not one that is primarily aimed at adults, where things like quick breads and chocolate dipped pretzels sell well.
