Funny how it is sewing division to suggest teachers in the most severe shortage areas should be paid more, but it isn’t to negotiate a contract where 50 year old teachers get twice the pay and better benefits to do the same job as a 24 year old.[/quote]

Absolutely, when it means there’s a corresponding increase in responsibilities and productivity. But in this case they’re doing the same job. We don’t pay doctors more to do the same procedures based on how many years they’ve been practicing.[/quote]
