Have any families actually sued Beauvoir?
I've wondered about that, too. My first thought, is that the enrollment contract may have a statement in it that holds the school harmless in such matters. Otherwise, Beauvoir has already been sued and settled with a confidentiality clause. I wish I had a copy of my contract handy right now.
The child would be the plaintiff, and even a parent cannot sign away their claim on an act that has not yet occurred. No, I do not believe there was any litigation. Not to defend Beauvoir, but the guy was a pro. He had already resigned from Beauvoir and was hired and going to teach at Potomac. He is a dog and a psycho, but was clearly a master manipulator not just of children, but their parents as well. Truly an evil man. What gives me some peace, and I have a son he taught, is its now near certain that he will be caught. Sexual abuse of children is frowned on greatly by both prison guards, and prisoners. He will likely be raped on a regular basis for the very long term in prison he will get, and the guards will be on smoke breaks every time it happens. Hey Eric, you read this site. Turn yourself in and do 20, instead of the 40 you will get staying on the lamb. Get a prison where you will be safe as a condition of turning yourself in. You are screwed any which way. You did wrong. Admit it, do your time, and get help, with some prospect of being free in time and while you will still have 20 or 30 years to live in peace. You are not now free, nor will you ever be when they catch you. You should turn yourself in, let the system work, and serve the time you owe. And then spend your 50's and 60's making some amends as best you can.
