Even if I did earn more money, I don't think I can handle the stress of a "very important" DC job. I enjoy attending my kid's school events without worrying about work. I enjoy my low maintenance home and simple car.

Some people cannot handle the pressure that comes with mass accumulation of wealth, achievement and things. Some people prefer to live simply even if it means our kids don't attend the best schools or we don't have the best homes.

OP, feel lucky that you even have the drive to aspire for more. Some people do not want more for themselves, for better or for worse.[/quote]
