You guys are freaking me out. My DH recently took a position in Baltimore, Inner Harbor. But he drives a really nice/flashy car worth around $130k
I live in Baltimore (and I'm still alive to type this post after 25 years here!), my husband works across from the street from Inner Harbor and my office is in an area that few tourists have any reason to ever visit. I've never been hurt but yes, I'm careful and know where I'm going. Not sure what the cost of your husband's car has to do with this discussion at all.
Umm ..... a $130k car is more likely to be stolen than a cheap car. Or someone driving an expensive car is likely to carry more cash/expensive jewelry or watch than someone driving a cheap car. Criminals have no issues about profiling potential victims.
Baltimore is full of people with expensive cars. They drive to their office’s parking garage, board the elevator, come back down at the end of the day, and drive out again. There’s nothing to wring your hands over.
