We walked from Little Italy to Camden Yard on Tuesday along the Inner Harbor and did not feel safe. The walk back after the game was way worse. Someone also tried to hit my car in the way out.

Previously spent some fun day trips in and around the Inner Harbor. It's a shame that Baltimore has deteriorated so...now it is the antithesis of the "Charm City." Last time (maybe 8 years ago) we stayed overnight at the Residence Inn near the Inner Harbor and could watch people being hassled as they tried to enter the store on the street below. That was the last time we'll visit for a long time. Unfortunately, it seems to be a trend to cede big cities (SF, Seattle, Portland, NYC) to petty criminals and let it rip until it isn't a safe place for resident or visitors.

Umm ..... a $130k car is more likely to be stolen than a cheap car. Or someone driving an expensive car is likely to carry more cash/expensive jewelry or watch than someone driving a cheap car. Criminals have no issues about profiling potential victims.

Baltimore is full of people with expensive cars. They drive to their office’s parking garage, board the elevator, come back down at the end of the day, and drive out again. There’s nothing to wring your hands over.
