After 20 years of heels, my feet are completely trashed (I have gone cold turkey and don't wear them now, only special occasions). I've had a couple surgeries and it is absolute hell. I can't run anymore, which I used to love. Obviously this won't happen to everyone. But in my opinion, it is NOT WORTH IT. If the shoe hurts, don't wear it. You don't realize how great it is to walk pain free until you can't anymore. So go ahead and make fun of the lady in Danskos, but she'll look a lot better barefoot in 20 years. [/quote]
