Yorktown popular girls seem to care a lot about athletics and being well off enough to buy Lululemon and other high-status clothes. Some can be mean, but usually within their own circles. But YHS has plenty of quirky kids who have their own activities and friends. If you want to avoid the big school experience, you can also apply for HB Woodlawn and/or Arlington Tech lotteries, which are both more inclusive than the big high schools.
NP. I wouldn't say HB and AT are necessarily more inclusive than all of the other big high schools. WL and Wakefield are both pretty inclusive and accepting of kids of all walks and types. Yorktown, not so much.
