[/quote] Many schools (though not all, for sure) will be open to inquiries after the deadline, and may or may not call it a 2nd round. It doesn't necessarily mean they have multiple open spots right now. They may just be staying open to students who could fill a need because a class has too many athletes and too few musicians, or isn't gender-balanced, etc. Or they may just like to keep their waitlist robust because there tends to be random attrition in the summer. Big intake years are actually where schools have more flexibility to take their time and get the numbers right. I'm not that familiar with St. Anselm's, but it sounds like they tend to stay flexible for exceptional applicants post-deadline – which also makes sense.[/quote]
