NP here, but there's no appeal involved in the middle school magnet consortium (Loiederman, Parkland, Argyle) process.  It's completely separate from the humanities and math/science magnet processes.[/quote]

There's no appeal on the humanities and math/science magnet lotteries, either.  You can appeal if you were left out of the lottery, but not on actual selection.  Also, because the first round admissions were already handed out when everyone is notified of whether they were in the lottery or not, getting into the lottery on appeal has [i]significantly [/i]lower chances of getting selected because the only seats left are the few that were turned down from the first round selection.[/quote]
