Started foreign language in middle school. Took AP in 11th and something past that in 12th. My first class in college was a 300 level literature course conducted in the language. I would have been miserable in a course where they were learning basic grammar rules. For people who think being educated is checking off boxes on a list of requirements, I guess they don't get how awesome and valuable becoming fluent in a second language is? [/quote]
