I try to map out a route and if needed, domestic flights- but except for the first couple nights we book places to stay when in country. [/quote] I should have elaborated a bit more. For example, Laos- I did a lot of googling for "3 week itinerary Laos". Settled on a tentative itinerary (when only 2-3 weeks you need to plan a bit). Found flights to Bangkok were much cheaper, so did an internal flight to Chiang Rai, and crossed by land, then overland/boat back to Bangkok. [/quote]
