Let's not let describe the RC pedophile scandal as just a few rogue priests.   The problem was institutional as known or accused pedophile priests were transferred to new parishes to oversee new children, rather than facing the justice system.   Let's also remember that one of the most powerful priests in the US, Cardinal Bernard Law (the Archbishop of Boston) was accused of this practice.  Unfortunately, he was transferred out of the country by the RC Church before US authorities could bring him to justice.  Cardinal Law not only escaped accountability, he now gets to live a nice Vatican apartment and also gets to help select future Popes.    That doesn't sound like an organization that should pass judgement on others.[/quote]
