I haven't worn a dress in about 10 years, but I want to start occasionally when we go back to work in person. For some reason, I'm very self-conscious about it. People wear a variety of things at my office, from suits to casual. I bought this dress to start. What shoes should I wear? Would boots work? Black seems too close to blue. Brown and blue look odd together. Can I do red? Also, my H says this dress seems more formal than for work, but he's even more fashion challenged than I am...is he correct? https://thefoldlondon.com/product/belgravia-dress-navy-4-way-stretch-twill/
That dress is gorgeous! Women at my office used to wear dresses like that pre-pandemic all the time. The suede pumps the model is wearing work well with it. Nude leather pumps or slingbacks would also work well. They don't need to be high. I have these Naturalizer slingbacks in taupe and they're relatively comfortable (though they run small). I think books or booties would work with this too.
