I work in engineering and we have zero engineers here from JMU. Didn't know they had engineering, so it must be fairly new. I know some here from Pitt, btw.
I graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from JMU and graduated degree from CMU. Engineering is the same everywhere with the exception of Stanford. My degree is in Civil Engineering but I am now working in Cyber Security pre-sale.
Another engineer here coming to echo what pp said.
I want to be sure I understand, are you saying it doesn't really matter where the engineering degree comes from? That it is better to focus on location of the school etc? What if the decision was for (possibly) chemical engineering and the choices were Pitt or VA Tech, for a female student? Understand there is a huge difference in location urban/rural, but otherwise what do the engineers think?
