[/quote] +1 You make $35/hour because you've gotten raises over the years with this family, and because there are 4 kids. Starting over with a "forever family" likely means one infant, or an infant and a toddler. If you're aware you have to start lower, you should be fine (I would have no problem hiring someone 47 with lots of experience), but you can't expect to start over, likely with someone hiring a nanny for the first time, at the same rate you're making after a decade of raises with a family with 4 kids.[/quote]
