Oral B is really loud and you have to remember to take the toothbrush head off each time you use it and rinse it and let it dry. If you don't, you get black mold falling out of it and into your mouth. Pretty gross.
okay so DH has Sonicare and I have OralB. I swear his sonicare is so freaking loud that I get agitated by the loud high pitched buzzing. But he loves his Sonicare. I got OB because I love the circular brush head. When I first got it I had that same issue you mentioned with mold, and also odor (so gross), but then I started laying my toothbrush on it's side on the edge of my sink to let it thoroughly dry- sort of suspended over the sink half way in and half way out, if you can visualize it. It fixed the issue! I no longer have the issue of mold (or odor). Give it a try.
I have an OralB and have never seen a bit of mold. Now I am going to have to go look at it. I have not replaced the head yet. Should I take it off and look there?? Back to the original question...my dentist says Sonicare is not worth the extra cost.
Not worth the extra cost as compared to what? a manual? How your dentist can say this is a real head-scratcher.
Vs the oral b
