Oasis poster here. It weighs a bit more than the Paperwhite, I think, and the battery life, while better than the Paperwhite, isn’t as good as they claim. But I read a lot and maybe my brightness setting is higher than most? At any rate, it charges fast so it’s not an issue.[/quote]

When you say it weighs a bit more - can you put that in perspective for me? Like if the Paperwhite weighs about as much as a Cliff bar, how much does the Oasis weigh relative to that?[/quote]

Oasis user here:  love, love, love it, especially the new model with the amber light capability.  It's awesome, not like reading on a tablet screen at all.  The weight has never bothered me, it's quite light, and I'm not sure I'd want it to be much lighter, I like to feel like I am holding something.  The only down side is a bit of uneven lighting on the screen--you have to be super persnickety to notice it, I think, but that's me--due to the nature of the technology, I thought my first one was broken but that is just how it works. You get used to it, and it is well worth that little nit for the other upsides.  [/quote]
