I would like to know before school if my kid will have a substitute because teacher out. I would like to know if my kid’s class would be consolidated with another class. I would like to know if there is an anticipated disruption to the regular day. They know. I should know. Not hard to do.
PP I've thought that I would like to know #1 on your list. I just don't know how schools would get that info out in a timely manner before drop off for before care starts. If you're worried about your kids' teacher having COVID I assume you'd get one of those school wide emails like when a kid in X grade has COVID. Though come to think of it I haven't seen a single email about staff and I know staff at our school have had COVID. In the dunno... Schools don't need one more thing to do right now. But if I knew my early ES kid had a sub I'd keep them home for the next few weeks. I don't think they'd miss much. I know not everyone can make that choice.
