It is a major research university with top-notch professors. Many of the students are local and/or first in their family to go to college, but bright and hard-working. The university is very ambitious and has been investing in itself wisely for some time now (both in student amenities - it used to be a 'commuter college' and they're worked hard to change it - new dorms, student union, etc - and in its teaching and research programs). Highly recommended if you're looking for an undergrad program in Florida. [/quote]
