Of course. No brainer. We are part of a community. Doing our part.
Any adults in our 240K person community doing it? Nope. And only 18% of APS kids were doing it under the prior regime, and I'm sure it's even much, much less. By signing up for this testing regime, you're signing up for your child to be one of the very few of the 240K people in this county subject to such COVID mitigation burden.
Burden? A 30 sec test is a burden? As opposed to the burden of spreading a virus by closing your eyes, sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling "lalalalalaa". How rich.
Both of my kids missed a few days of school due to covid protocols despite never testing positive. We believed that they would be given opportunities to make up missed work but they were not- different schools, so not just a problem at one. We had to jump through hoops for a month to get our junior permission to retake a science test that she missed. That’s a burden, and a big one. I’d be all in like we were in the fall if the promises were true. As it is, if my kids are asymptomatic they won’t be tested and will be in school. If you don’t like the thought of that, thank the failed system.
It’s more like thanks covid. Grow up
