This year: three books in my favorite series (including preorder on the one coming out in the spring), an unscented candle, $50 for kindle books (for me, I already use the household card for unlimited kindle books for the child and as discipline/caregiving/special needs), $100 for whatever takeout/delivery I want (I already get whatever groceries I want), $1000 cash, $200 towards a pastime that the parent and I both enjoy, a new air purifier, and an abject apology for going along with the child’s birthday wish which gave half the party covid just as Christmas hit.

Looking at just the cash bonus, it’s slightly above my weekly net and slightly below my weekly gross.  Oh, and this is just for Christmas.  I was hired September 25, arrived September 27 and received a $1k bonus for relocating so quickly.  Then there was another $1k bonus after my first month.

I am a live-in nanny who specializes in crazy hours, behavior, special needs and tutoring.  My current position combines every one of those, and my employers are very, very grateful to have me.  They also understand that there are multiple ways to show that they appreciate what I do, and a bonus is only one way.[/quote]
