I've posted it before and I'll post it again. I see your nannies out on the hill every day and they are not worth bonuses. On their phones, ignoring your kids or snapping at them half the time. If they've convinced you they are indispensable, cool but odds are they aren't that great.
20.21 again.
Special needs, 24/7, PoA, parent out of state weeks to over a month at a time (and unreachable for 12+ hours at a time), etc. Sure, paint every nanny as the same. My employers value who I am and what I do.

+1. I now get the equivalent of a four week bonus at my anniversary in January. The annual bonus is in my contract and has been increased for the last three years. It is wonderful!

I just hired a new person on October 1 and budget made me prorate their bonus. I’m not thrilled because 1/4 a bonus isn’t great.

We gave our previous nanny 1.5 weeks of pay in the past so we were trying to determine whether we should give our new nanny a full week, or if they she will expect 2 weeks in the future given that she worked with us for only 4 months. Should we do half of the 1.5 week bonus and hopefully she would expect around double the following year?
What would others do here?
