I despise the transmission in my Ascent. I keep cars for a long time and don’t want to lose money by getting rid of it now that it’s nearly paid off, but I kind of wish I could get rid of it. I otherwise really like the interior and how it steers. The acceleration/gear shifting is just so rough/not smooth. I thought I would get used to it and I just needed to learn the acceleration (as cars drive differently). 2.5 years in, I still hate that part of it. I have no issues with DH’s Buick, my parents’ Acura, my friend’s Highlander, but the Ascent (or at least mine) is not smooth in acceleration. [/quote]
