'Up to' isn't defined. A reasonable person can read it as being defined by how much to consumer chooses or how much the dealer chooses. In this market, there is no reason for a dealer to not cap it at 2k. A few years ago when they were desperate to move inventory, they may have allowed it up to purchase price. [/quote]

You conveniently ignore the next sentence, don't you?

"Please note your ability to use your American Express Card to pay all or some of purchase price is subject to the amount of credit available on your American Express Card.""

It does not say "is subject to limits imposed by the dealer."[/quote]
