Is it because it impacts your hormones?[/quote] Often men’s formulations (rogaine, generic, and other brands like ‘Hers’) have a higher percent of minoxidil (5%) vs women’s (2.5%). Women’s “extra strength” formulas usually have the same amount as men’s. The weaker concentration is supposed to work fine for women but men need a higher strength for it to be effective. From what I understand, it increases blood circulation to your scalp, it should not effect your hormones. I use 5% with no issues. [/quote]
