You gotta be kidding about the s added to Hine. Look, do you honey and if E-H is the place for your child then saunter on. Now my last newsletter from Eastern showcased only ONE child who had the HIGHEST honors out of the entire inauguration freshmen class. I am readily assured that student who achieved such a lofty goal was a former 8th grader from Caesar Chavez. I am not gossipying that former E-H students are not doing their best at Eastern. But I know for a fact that many of Eastern's current discipline problems were attributed to those students who were promoted from E-H. Furthermore, you don't want it. Slow your roll and stay in your lane.
Yargle bargle?
I just want to respond to the post about highest honors at Eastern their system for awarding highest honors is skewed. True the young lady had straight As and she is a wonderful student and person. But the only students with straight A's were recognized as having highest honors which does not equate with the gpa requirements for summa cum laude. There was another student who received a 4.00 who had a B in a weighted Honors English class as she was not recognized (She attended a Kipp school 8th grade). But at the end of the day these were the only two students that had grades even worthy of being spoken of in the general education program. Almost 80% of the inaugural class has less than a 2.00. The students that attended E-H Jefferson and S-H that were of higher quality academically chose schools other than Eastern to attend this year.
