Completely agree. I didn't know people took MAP M so seriously or  actually prepared for this MAP stuff till I came to DCUM. I thought it was a self evaluation tool. Why would a kid cheat on something like this? Asian parent here with both kids at magnets (pre lottery). [/quote]
Kids don't take it that seriously. Just the opposite. Most classrooms the teachers have to implore the kids to take it seriously. There are a small subset of kids that brag about their scores because they get them immediately after they are done. But I have learned from talking to parents that in my DCs class a lot of those kids are lying.
