Asian parent here with both kids at magnets (pre lottery). [/quote] Kids don't take it that seriously. Just the opposite. Most classrooms the teachers have to implore the kids to take it seriously. There are a small subset of kids that brag about their scores because they get them immediately after they are done. But I have learned from talking to parents that in my DCs class a lot of those kids are lying. Actual cheating on the MAP-M is just not a thing that could be real, because its difficult from proctoring but also the incentives are just not there for the kids.[/quote]
