Another Facebook thing that annoys me is when someone would post a relatable post about life (like just saying they were tired because their kid wasn't sleeping well, or their luggage got lost, or they were having trouble making friends in their new city, whatever) and people would jump in with 1,001 and one pieced of advice for them. I'm not against advice in general, and if you have some really on point advice that could actually help someone, why not share that. But I remember once a friend from high school posted about her kid sleeping poorly as an infant and being stressed about returning to work before the baby was sleeping through the night, and the comments just devolved into a yelling match about sleep training between other people. It was so unhelpful to someone who I think probably just needed to hear "Ugh, yes, been there. It's tough but you will figure it out."

Everyone thinks they know everything but most of us don't really know much, especially about other people's lives. I don't know if I just was connect to a ton of know-it-alls or what, but this used to drive me up the wall back when I used to actually spend any time on Facebook.[/quote]
