Just an FYI to consider the school based friendships many kids make at school aftercare. Mine makes solid friends from different classes and grades during those hours, and got to see friends she had from outside activities like Girl Scouts. We stuck with “good enough” school based aftercare over something pull out like Casa Lala for that reason. Just food for thought.
In normal times yes. But, I think many/most are cohorting aftercare these days. Makes total sense but makes it much harder to provide fun active activities and allow kids to see anyone outside their class.
Not in our aftercare. They said they can’t because they don’t have the numbers to staff separate cohorts. May be a school by school, or aftercare program by program thing. I don’t love it, but I think they’re on the playground with masks most of the time, so not ideal, but fine for now
