Now that I've had a couple of days to process my feelings, I have a little less remorse. Our house is good for our family right now. We plan to stay here for a very long time and, while it might be tight when the kids are teens, that is only a short period of time. Then they will move out and go to college (I hope) and we will be glad that we don't live in a big, empty house. I also think those other houses were so large that I would be almost embarrassed by the size. What we ended up with is very nice and I am proud of it; not in any way ostentatious. It won't be as good an investment as the larger homes, but I don't see a home solely as an investment. Finally, I think that we are setting a good example to our kids to not live in the biggest house in the neighborhood and to live within our means. [/quote]
