"Biden is a decent politician who is somewhat gaffe-prone but who enjoys the respect of both sides of the aisle. " yes, but enthusiasm generating - not so much.
Unfortunately she generates quite a lot of "enthusiasm" on the political right. They feel about her what we feel about Pat Buchanan or Rush Limbaugh.
That's a pretty outdated perception, you know. It isn't 2008 anymore.
Really? Do you think there are a lot of Republicans who have rethought how they feel about her?
I don't know if there are a lot, but I am a Republican with loads more respect for Hillary Clinton than I had in 2008. The idea that she could energize Obama's campaign is scary. Would she do it if asked? Hillary at the top of the ticket is even scarier, because agree or disagree with her, nobody out there on either side can touch her qualifications. But I doubt she would challenge the President, and he is way too arrogant to step aside, even for the good of his party or the country. Practical question: Why would she want to be VP? Doesn't she have a more important job now than she would have as VP? I suppose it depends on how the Pres chooses to use the VP, right?
