No response?  It's okay, I can update you.  There are fewer than 10 total girls that are going from SYC to VA Union.  Did you hear that?  Fewer than 10.  SYC hasn't prepared its girls to play competitively, and the merger wasn't for them.  It was for the boys, but they were not expecting to get MLS Next.  There will not be any difference in the future.[/quote]

In large part, because only 09's hadn't already been picked apart.  While many of the 08's stayed, several left for other ECNL teams in their first year of opportunity.  A more fair way to ask this question is how many former SYC 07/08/09 girls are at ECNL teams (teams that had at least some time under current leadership), not limiting it to just Union.  Union is a new construct and most girls with the skill to play didn't wait around because there wasn't an option.  The point of Union is to get them to choose that option, not spread to VDA/BRYC/Mclean like prior years.  Without the partnership, Arlington getting ECNL girls creates yet another close alternative that would have been a draw.[/quote]

How many McLean girls made the 08 Union roster for the fall?  09 roster?  Not dual rostered - actually made the squad.  How many from other clubs?  Since you represent that know the answers, why don’t you share?  Or are you cherry picking SYC to make a point without context?  Give us a rundown of who did it better.[/quote]
